Free Printable: Large Print Multiplication Timed Tests

Multiplication. Timed Tests. Elementary school memories.

I distinctly remember being in fourth grade and listening to songs teaching skip counting/muliplication facts and working through the multiplication timed tests for all of the facts to 12. It was something that I didn’t mind at all. I personally kind of enjoyed the competition aspect of it!

However, I also remember others in my class being very frustrated. Being behind. Struggling. Not enjoying it at all.

I would say this would be true of my oldest. She was born with a congenital eye condition called Aniridia and has low vision. Activities such as timed tests aren’t her cup of tea.

I highly value the memorization of multiplication facts though, so I knew this was something that I still wanted to try. I decided to create my own large and bold print timed tests.

I wanted to make sure the facts were big and bold and the paper clutter free so as not to be too visually overwhelming. I also decided that instead of having a requirement of them being completed in a certain amount of time (like I remember), I thought I would go for accuracy combined with improved time. For my daughter, I knew this would greatly cut down on her initial frustration!

We are currently still working on our facts, but I’ll give an update on how she enjoys or doesn’t enjoy these as we get into it farther!

I’m offering these as FREE printables to you as well. Whether you need the large and bold print, like a less cluttered paper, or just like the general layout, they are yours for the printing!

As a bonus, they are color coded to go along with these Whiz Builders Multiplication Flashcards!
